Easy Homemade Nutella

NutellaIf you have a Vitamix this is dead simple. Otherwise you might want to use skinned hazelnuts and a food processor.


  • 1 1/4 cups roasted hazelnuts (skins on are fine if you have a Vitamix)
  • 2 Tablespoons of mild oil
  • 11 ounces of chocolate of choice (we like 85% dark)
  • Pinch of salt
  • Drizzle of vanilla extract

Throw everything in a Vitamix until it’s smooth and creamy.

Notes: Roast hazelnuts by putting on a pan and baking for about 15 minutes. You can remove the skins by rubbing with a dishtowel or shaking vigorously inside two metal bowls (FYI – this also works well for garlic cloves).
